Save some time to visit the "Karen Beasley Sea Turtle and Rehabilitation center”. It is the # 1 most requested tourist spot in North Carolina and meet Jean Beasley its founder. Visit the "Missiles and More Museum”, home of the secret "Bumble Bee Project” and first home of Cape Canaveral and the United States missile program. The island boasts public disc golf and tennis courts at its community center open to visitors and locals alike. After a full day of "fun in the sun” join the locals for an evening of island-style night life. While it’s true we don’t have a "Studio 51” we do have "The Trailer Bar” (yes the original structure is a 60’s style trailer) as well as "Hulas”. Visitors are always welcome. "The Brass Pelican” or s the locals call it "The Brass” boasts an outdoor beer-garden as well as a nostalgic belly-up bar. "Gilligans”, "The Sandbar Bar”, "Gallagher’s Sports Bar and Grill” and of course "Quartermasters” known for Wings Wednesday. The list goes on and on, there are too many fun spots to mention. We enjoy free "movies in the park” and live concerts on alternating Friday nights at the sound side park. Come experience the best vacation of your life on Topsail Island.
