In today's blog we will list some of our favorite little places to shop, right here on Topsail Island. No mass market chains here! You will find unique bookstores, outdoor gear suppliers, souvenirs and even clothing boutiques, all locally owned. So grab your wallet, lock up your Topsail Island vacation rental, and hit the shops!

In business since 1952, East Coast Sports is the place to go for all of your sporting goods needs. They have fishing gear, kayaks, outdoor clothing, t shirts, sunglasses, and equipment rentals. Make sure to stop by and see On Shore Surf shop for all your rentals, located in the East Coast Sports building. They have surfboards, paddleboards, kayaks, and bike rentals. You won’t have to look any further for all of the things you will need to enjoy yourself in Surf City! 

This adorable shop has clothing, gifts, chocolate and more! What else could you want while on a vacation to Topsail Island? The Bumblebee Market is a must-see during your beach vacation. Take a break from the beach and go shopping! Want to shop online? Check out their adorable online shop at hustleandhive.com. 

At Mia's you will find a puzzle of North Carolina, beachy decor, clothing, gifts, and even candy and treats. They carry high end items like Bogg Bags and the Draper James fashion line. Stop in! 

Surfside is located between Island Delights and Bert’s Surf Shop.... and a great spot to find whatever you forgot! Hats, t-shirts, swimwear,  and sweatshirts. You will also spot cool souvenirs here to take home to your pet sitter. 

This locally-owned boutique is the place to go for women's fashion. Sandra, the owner, moved to Topsail in 2014 and loves to shop! See what she has in store, since it is always changing. 

The best place in Topsail for homemade fudge, great souvenirs and a bit of island flavor. Known for outstanding customer service and a clean, friendly shopping experience! 

This place is a bookstore, gift shop, clothing shop (great sarongs, tunics, and beach dresses), coffee shop AND wine shop, all in one! They often host fun events so check their Facebook page to see what's going on while you are in town. 

Shopping is a great way to see more of the island, meet some friendly locals, and enjoy the air-conditioned comfort. Not to mention the fact that you are helping support our local economy. Topsail Island isn't one of those highly commercialized beach towns you might see to our south.
