1 Thanksgiving Dish That is Too Good to be Healthy

Thanksgiving Dish

Loaded stuffing. Creamy, silky smooth mashed potatoes dripping with butter and gravy. Warm, homemade, yeasty bread rolls also dripping with butter...and honey.

Thanksgiving, in Topsail or wherever else you might be enjoying the holiday with family and friends this year, is definitely a day when it is all too easy to overload on carbs. From the rich and carb-filled traditional Thanksgiving sides to all of the desserts (pumpkin, apple, and blueberry pies anyone?), Thanksgiving is not known for being a day full of healthy food. And the healthy options that do show their faces at the tables usually get overlooked: side salad and green bean casserole anyone?

What, though, if you could put a side dish on the table that was as healthy as a salad and as tempting as the most decadently fluffy pile of mashed potatoes? Doesn’t that sound heavenly for your diet (and that of your kids and grandkids?)? Well, we have discovered just the side dish for you! It is flavorful. A little sweet. Beautifully colored. And ridiculously easy to make. What is it, you ask? Why, Honey Garlic Roasted Carrots from Carlsbad Cravings with a dash of a secret ingredient. This is a dish you will end up making over and over again, no matter where you are at! (We must say, though, they taste best in one of the kitchens of our charming rental homes in Topsail Island.)

Try the recipe below this Thanksgiving - you won’t be disappointed!
